Week 28 Faith Without Works Is Dead

Hi All!

Tuesday at institute we talked about prioritizing needs and wants. A girl talked about how she felt guilty going hunting instead of listening to conference for a session. Also talked about studying vs reading.

Thursday the temple was peaceful. I met Al Carraway in the evening.

Saturday I was about to leave the temple, I got talking to an older sister and temple worker. The sister said "Faith without works is dead." You have to work at things if you want it to stay alive.

Sunday there was a devotional, Elder and Sister Johnson of the 70 came and talked to my stake.

Notes I took:

Sister
-It doesn't matter where you live, it only matters how you live.

Elder
  1. -We have a Savior willing to do lots for us, which makes our healing and saving possible.
  2. -Have ye spiritually been born of God? Have you experienced mighty change in heart?
  3. -We don't have the power to change without the outside help (the Savior) because of the atonement.
  4. -Can you imagine saving someone's life? The Savior saved all of our lives. I'm thankful I had both my dad and sister for that devotional (family oriented).

Scripture thought: Alma 13:27...[do] not procrastinate the day of your repentance; 28 But that ye would humble yourselves before the Lord, and call on his holy name, and watch and pray continually, that ye may not be tempted above that which ye can bear, and thus be led by the Holy Spirit, becoming humble, meek, submissive, patient, full of love and all long-suffering;

I hope you all had a good week!
