Week 24 I Feel my Saviors Love

Hi! Two stories this week.

Thursday at institute we talked about the fall. I'm thankful I was able to understand it better. We also watched a video (story telling) about a guy that went on a hike in shorts and shirt. It ended up snowing and he was unprepared. He only had his phone, luckily he had service to call to get help. When they came they couldn't land the helicopter but they were able to get him what he needed. I loved that because we can't always get our situation fixed, but He can help us with the little things so we can keep going. In the evening the temple went well. I felt my Saviors love for me and could tell throughout the session someone on the other side was close by. I felt a little more of His power through the session. I'm thankful for that. In initiatory the 3 names were exactly the same which was fun. Different dates and places but exact same names. I'm thankful I had the chance to help and be a part of their work.

Saturday I talked with a sister about her distant family members death. He was a good guy. In one week he went from sitting by the general authorities at a church event to the next week ending up in jail because of a few wrong choices. He tried and did his best to make things right but recently died in jail do to health. I loved that through everything that he went through, he constantly had a testimony of Christ through it all. He changed lives of people in the prison but also tried to make things right. Christ is always there for us, with open arms no matter what we do. He wants us to repent and come unto Him.

Sunday evening we had another mission meeting. Here's a few notes I took.

New leaders in Brigham:
  • We aren't here to go through things alone.
  • Come unto Him and He will give you rest.
  • We all grow together.
  • Sister C: -You are in the season (of your mission), you are serving Him w/ everything you have because the Savior gave His life for you.
  • There is a season for everything.
  • Elder C: -Get on the water and He will help you.

Scripture:

Acts 7:55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up steadfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God.
56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. Saw that posted at an assignment and loved it!
